Best dog food to switch to?
I have a pug and he has been on Science Diet all his life, now we are getting another puppy and I am thinking of putting them both on something new. I’ve read about the commercial dog food recalls, and have looked into making food for my dogs at home, but that would be too expensive. Instead, I’ve decided I would stick with dry dog food, but switch to a better brand like Orijen, Acana or Taste of the Wild. However, my parents are the ones buying the food and I can’t convince them to pay more than they were already. The Science Diet we buy is a 40lb bad and it costs us around $40.
I need to know the best dog food that I can get, that’s grain free and made with good meat, for around the same price or cheaper then what we are paying now.
I have researched this in depth since my poor dog died of kidney failure due to poor quality dog food!!
Taste of the wild is a great puppy and dog food and has great cat foods as well ..wet and dry!!! you can get it online and if you go to the website you can find stores near you .. they wont be at walmarts and the like… they are in feed stores .. Agway..tractor supply stores etc
NO fillers….grains….corn….gluten or by-products
ALL human grade food….fruits…veggies and probiotics!!

Orijen is great but it is $60 – $80 for a 30 lb bag…
