Germination of seeds is an easy way to provide vitamins, minerals and trace elements for your bird and your bird will love. Do not be intimidated by all different directions germination. There are thousands of different recommendations out there. The good news is that all the work so feel free to experiment. The key is "Just do it! - cover the seed germinating in tap water
- soaked in tap water as long as necessary (see below)
- rinse with tap water
- place on plate and cover with another plate
- wait until the seeds grow small cross
- rinse with tap water twice a day, while waiting in a small tail
- evacuation of water in a paper towel
- RTE
One word of caution, sprouts have a very short life can be dangerous if mold.
The process is very forgiving and so there are several descriptions of the process that all the work. If you use small seeds sprout, then step 2 may be a few minutes. For example Buckwheat just have to be soaked for 15-30 minutes, while barley should be soaked for 8-14 hours. Step 5 also depends on the seed sprouts and can not take as long as 24 hours. Eg sunflowers are sprouting in about 18 hours while the alfalfa may take 6-8 days. As soon as the seeds starts to grow a little glue and then we can feed your bird. If you wait too long, will grow a large root and lose their nutrients. The small tail or short outbreak is a sign that he is ready to feed your bird. A long "outbreak" of an outbreak is typical for human consumption. Also some germinators prefer rinsing with an antibacterial solution such as grapefruit seed extract (GSE) or a very diluted bleach solution instead of regular tap water. However, it is recommended that you rinse them every day until used for eliminating the adverse effects of the byproducts of the process of germination.
