Booda

Booda
Is it safe to eat dog toys to chew gum?

I have a month old, pit bull and five years, and she destroys the toys as if they were nothing! Start with regular toys she demolished in minutes. She has a bone Bood she arrived last week and is already disintegrating. While writing, she is biting into very small pieces for use outside a black Kong toy, which she only had an hour! I do not want to discourage her from chewing her toys because I chew my furniture just once – she's teething. Nylabone last five minutes, so I can not continue to feed those. Are those small pieces of rubber (About the size of a fingernail clippings) safe to eat? Or does anyone know of an "indestructible" toy for this aggressive chewer?

I know that the bones and Nylabone Bood are safe for them to eat … small pieces of rubber are not hazardous, but are not desirable … Rubber is a derivative of a tree, not is toxic to it, but it becomes a problem when the pieces are large. Not decompose in the digestive tract, and can stay in your body … that can cause impaction (blockage intestinal and kidney). Looking for something bigger than the mouth (my cousin buy more than tennis ball size [the size of a] ball football for Rottie mix, and work well because they can not get a good enough hold of it to tear off pieces and eat them.) I would recommend kong toy, but stated that they are crushing one as we speak, so I really recommend lots and lots of bones and Nylabone Bood … are mainly corn starch that breaks down the digestive tract and cause blockage custom. I know that makes a very large Greenies chew toy that is supposed to be very, very hard … saw me on sale at Petco … were heavy, and seemed very important, but they were rubber, and would provide the same risk if consumed, so we really recommend cornstarch stick to chew toys or rawhide try adding chew toys (avoid pig ears, as they can lead to a flu like virus that can transmitted to humans, and possibly Rawhide dogs and sticks, as they may split, and sensitive mouth tissue damage.) Try rawhide braided or even a training float to bring water to recover the races. Good luck!
